Portrait of Matthew Garrett

Tenor Matthew Garrett sang with intelligence and dignity as Belmonte.”—the June 2008 review in the Hartford Courant refers to the dynamic young American tenor, whose charismatic presence and elegant musicianship have already won him international recognition. His poised, confident tone has been heard on opera, oratorio, and recital stages, often under the guidance of some of the world’s foremost conductors.

Engagements in the 2008-2009 season include Scottish Opera, Eugene Opera, the Virginia Symphony, the Ann Arbor Symphony, the Grand Tour Orchestra, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the Brooklyn Symphony, the Berkshire Choral Festival, and the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola: Sacred Music in a Sacred Space.

Matthew Garrett is a rostered artist with Pinnacle Arts Management, Stafford-Law Associates, and the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation.
